1. PICK THE RIGHT TAXI 🚕

Negotiate first with the driver before riding a taxi. Always insist to use the meter and if the driver refused to do so (which they usually want a fixed rate), pick another one coz there are lot of Taxi in the city. Meanwhile, also be alert of what they call Patpong Sex Show Scam and Gem Scam.

4. PAMPER YOURSELF WITH A THAI MASSAGE 💆

Your Thailand Experience will not be completed without an Authentic Thai Massage. Just be mindful of the Massage Parlors with Pretty Girl Signs (with additional sensual service). The finest Thai Massage is in the Wat Pho Complex.

5. ALWAYS BRING YOUR PASSPORT 🎫Picture

Aside from unexpected happening which you need your passport like exchanging cash, Thai Security Team require you to present a valid Passport when entering the Grand Palace Complex.

6. BRING CASH OR DEBIT CARD? 💳

When someone asks me if which is better between “Carrying Cash and have it exchange for Baht in Bangkok” or “Bring a Debit Card then Withdraw in the City.” For me, I suggest bringing an amount of local currency based on your expected expenditure and have it change for Thai Baht in the metro. Moreover, leave some cash in your debit card (and bring credit card if you have) for unpredicted expenses. Just   make sure your cards have an international access.

7. KNOW THE DIRECTIONS AND VISITING HOURS 🌴

For a smooth Travel Experience (Applicable for DIY Tour) in Bangkok, Thailand, know the location of the Tourist Attractions (Let us say Grand Palace and Wat Pho, the two are just close to each other).  Time is also should be considered, research the visiting time of the temples as well as the floating market (some are closed for construction – like Vimanmek Mansion when we visit in February 2017).

For Night Life Enthusiasts and Party Goers, Khao San Road is the right place for you.

8. CHOOSE THE ORANGE FLAG 🚩⛵

A budget-friendly route to visit the Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun is via Chao Phraya River. Just make sure to take the Orange Flag (Other option is through Package River Tour which is too pricey). Take Note Again: Orange Flag Ferries (observe the people where they go or ask the people around how to get there).

9. RESEARCH FOR DO AND DON’T⚠

As a common reminder, in the house for worship, dress code always needs to be followed or else you will not be allowed to enter the premises. Take note also that every country (not only in Thailand) has its own culture and ethics that need to be respected.
